Empower a Life with Better Diabetes Management
Donation protected
For the past 20 years, I have navigated the challenges of living with type 1 diabetes, a journey marked by both struggle and resilience. Since my diagnosis, I have faced the daily trials of managing blood glucose levels, administering insulin, and adapting my lifestyle to cope with an illness that demands constant attention. Over the years, my approach to Diabetes Management varied, and unfortunately, there were times when I neglected my health, resulting in complications that have only recently come to light.
Today, I find myself at a crucial crossroads; motivated by a newfound determination to prioritize my health for both myself and my family. I have come to realize the importance of taking proactive steps in managing my condition rather than letting it dictate my life. This includes seeking to obtain a continuous glucose monitor (CGM) and the necessary supplies that will elevate my diabetes management and significantly improve my quality of life. The CGM offers real-time data and insights that can help prevent dangerous lows and highs, providing me with the peace of mind that I desperately seek.
To fund this critical piece of technology, I am actively raising donations, engaging my community, friends, and family in my journey toward better health. I'm proud to share that any funds raised beyond the cost of the CGM and supplies will be generously donated to JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) for the 2025 Walk. This organization is dedicated to funding research that improves the lives of those affected by type 1 diabetes, and I am honored to contribute to their incredible mission.
As I take this step toward better self-care, I am not only focusing on my health but also hoping to inspire others in similar situations to take control of their lives. The road has been long and, at times, painful, but I am committed to making the necessary changes for myself and my family, aiming for a future filled with health, happiness, and hope. Together, we can rise above the challenges posed by this condition and support one another in our shared journey of living with type 1 diabetes.
