Station House Cafe Employee Medical Insurance Fund

Dear Friends,
We are fighting tooth and nail to keep this business alive but our biggest concern at this time is our employees who are now out of work due to COVID-19 public safety measures.
I never, ever thought I would do this...start a fundraising campaign related to business. But this is different, times have already changed.
Our Kaiser medical insurance provides a lifeline for many Station House Cafe and Side Street Kitchen employees. To keep them insured through June, we need $35,000. Honestly, if we are unable to pay these premiums, I'm not sure what the next step for them will be. They are out of work and have no means to continue paying their own premiums.
While we have tried to remain open for take-out -- and even local delivery -- our sales are 10% of normal for this time of year. That is not enough to pay our basic rent and utilities let alone A/P and medical benefits.
We WILL pull through this and will persevere. However, the medical insurance needs are urgent and any Disaster Assistance we may find will undoubtedly not come in time.
If you have ever enjoyed a meal, a drink or even live music at Station House Cafe then you know how hard our staff works. They are more than employees: They are family.
No contribution is too small and 100% will be applied to Kaiser medical premium payments. Thank you so much for even reading this note.
