My name is Zeynep. I’m an Early Years teacher with a Master’s degree in the psychoanalytic approach to child development. Over the past years, I’ve also trained extensively in emotional regulation and therapeutic play.
I’ve worked with babies, toddlers, and young children across Europe, from many cultures and backgrounds. And if there’s one truth that keeps showing up, it’s this:
When a child feels emotionally safe, everything changes.
They play with confidence.
They learn with joy.
They meet the world with curiosity—not fear.
And when a parent or caregiver learns how to hold space for that child’s big emotions, both lives begin to heal.
I’m now launching a community project in Exeter offering emotional regulation workshops for children aged 3–10, alongside support seminars for their parents and caregivers. This project is especially focused on migrant and disadvantaged families, who often face barriers in accessing emotional support.
Using play, storytelling, games, and creative exercises, I’ll help children:
Recognise and name their feelings,
Learn to manage emotions like fear, anger, and sadness,
Build emotional strength and self-awareness.
Parents and caregivers will receive simple, practical tools to support their children’s emotional growth—transforming everyday stress into connection and calm.
But to bring this vision to life, I need your support.
Your donation will help provide:
Engaging, child-friendly materials and activity kits
A safe, welcoming space to run workshops
Translation and outreach to include migrant families
Refreshments and resources to make every session feel warm and inclusive
Every child deserves to feel seen, safe, and supported.
With your help, we can make that a reality—one small heart at a time.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
