Hello!
My name is Emmeline Duft and I am a 14 year old 8th grader. I have been involved in ballet since the age of 3 and currently dance with the Ballet Conservatory of Asheville in the pre-professional division. In addition to dancing 6-7 days a week, I am also an A student. I take my education, as well as my ballet training, seriously and work very hard at both. My dream is to one day be a professional dancer!
One of the most important pieces to any successful dancer's future, is the ability to attend "Summer Intensives". These programs are just what they sound like- VERY intensive training during summer vacation!
This summer, I have the opportunity to train for 5 weeks with the Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet www.cpyb.org CPYB is one of the best schools in the country and many principal dancers from some of the best companies in the world, have trained here at some point. It's a very exciting opportunity!
Unfortunately, these types of programs are very expensive. The cost for tuition, room and board is $5500. My parents are amazing and have always supported me and my passion for ballet, but expecting them to pay for all of this, especially with college around the corner for my brother, is asking a lot. So, I'm trying to raise a portion of the cost myself! Any donation, large or small, would be greatly appreciated.
