Blessé gravement, il a été trouvé par un voisin qui a entendu des cris et il a dû être transporté à l’hôpital du Sacré-Cœur-de-Montréal, où il est resté dans un coma pour plusieurs jours tout en subissant 7 opérations pour réparer son bassin et ses jambes.
