<div>At the age of just 46, wife, daughter, sister, dear friend, and mother of three, Emma Starr, lost her 7-year battle with breast cancer.

<div>Throughout her gruelling treatment, instead of bitterness or regret, one thing stood out, her gratitude and affection for the staff of the PCH Oncology /Haematology Ward that cared for her. This fundraiser is to help support those Doctors and Nurses in their quest to support Emma's fellow cancer sufferers.

<div>All funds raised here will go to supporting the ward's Wishlist - a list of items that go to supporting the patients' lives beyond the direct needs of their treatment - cosmetics to cheer up people that are going through tough treatment - phone chargers to help people stay connected to loved ones - children's books to help entertain kids in sometimes long stints on the ward...in short, all those things that make life a little more tolerable - things that the NHS cannot afford.

<div>Our plan is to raise money throughout 2025, before asking Emma's daughters to present the gifts to the ward toward the end of the year.

<div>Our ask is that, beyond donating to the fund directly (though that would be very nice!), you consider the fund as a beneficiary of any of your own fundraising efforts. Holding a charity quiz, perhaps add us as a part-beneficiary...getting sponsored to run a marathon, how about one of those miles goes toward this fund?
