<div>*From London to Lagos: Two Wheels, One Mission to End Polio*
</div>
<div>My name is Captain Olatunji Emmanuel Okedeyi, and I am about to embark on the ride of my life.
</div>
<div>I am cycling from *London to Lagos*—a journey spanning thousands of miles, multiple borders, and unforgiving terrain. But this isn't just about the physical challenge or the thrill of the open road. This journey is fueled by a cause that has been close to my heart since the day I was born.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div> *A Legacy of Healing*
</div>
<div>Growing up, the medical field wasn't just a career path for my parents; it was the atmosphere of our home. I was raised by healthcare professionals who dedicated their lives to saving others. Through them, I learned two fundamental truths:
</div>
<div> 1. *Health is a human right.*
</div>
<div> 2. *Prevention is the ultimate cure.*
</div>
<div>They showed me the devastating impact of diseases that the world has the power to stop. Among those, *Polio* remains a ghost that haunts our global progress. While we are closer than ever to eradication, the "final mile" is often the hardest to travel.
</div>
<div> *The "Kilometre Club": Sponsor the Journey*
</div>
<div>The distance between London and Lagos is vast, but I am breaking it down one pedal stroke at a time. To make this goal a reality, I am inviting you to join me on the road through the *Kilometre Club.*
</div>
<div>	*For every £10 you donate, you are sponsoring 1 kilometre of my journey.*
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div>Whether you sponsor 1km, 10km, or a whole day’s ride, your contribution becomes the fuel that carries me across continents. It’s more than just a donation; it’s a tangible part of the map I am covering to help eradicate polio forever.
</div>
<div><br />
</div>
<div> *Where Your Money Goes*
</div>
<div>I am raising funds to support global polio eradication efforts. Every £10 contributed helps provide:
</div>
<div> *Life-saving vaccines* for children in hard-to-reach communities.
</div>
<div> *Cold-chain transport* to keep vaccines effective in extreme heat.
</div>
<div> *Physical therapy and mobility aids* for those already affected by the virus.
</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>*The Road Ahead*
</div>
<div>This ride will test my limits. I will be facing over 10,000 kilometres of diverse geography, extreme weather, and the mental toll of weeks on the road. However, knowing that each kilometre is backed by your generosity will keep my spirits high when the climbs get steep.
</div>
<div>Nigeria was declared wild-polio-free in 2020, but the work isn't finished. We must protect that hard-won progress. By riding from the UK back to my roots in Nigeria, I am bridging the gap between where we are and a world where polio is a thing of the history books.
