Emma Hardy Accident

Emma is a beautiful, sweet, spunky, fifteen year old who was in a horrible roll-over accident in her hometown in New Mexico on September 9th.  She was Life-Flighted to UNM Hospital.  Her injuries include, multiple broken bones, shearing brain injuries,  severe fractures in her neck at C3, and compression fractures all the way down to T4.  Her sternum, hand and jaw are also broken.   She sustained pulmonary contusions to both lungs and a liver laceration.   Miraculously her spinal canal is in good shape, no her trauma team decided not to do surgery.

Emma's mom is a single mother of four, with no support from their dad.  She is always helping everyone in her community and is a volunteer fire fighter in their area of Mexico.    This is going to be a long and costly recovery as their home is a five hour drive from Emma's hospital specialists.
