Emma's European waterpolo tour

Hello everyone!

For the past two years I have been a part of the 2002 GB Junior Women's team working towards European Championships in September of this year. I have been very lucky to have made it this far in the selection process and it would mean a lot to compete in the final competition. Together with my friends, we have taken part in several tournaments in preparation for Europeans - including 2018 and 2019 EU nations in Brno, in which we placed 3rd on both occasions. 

The European Championship is the biggest international waterpolo competition for Junior teams in Europe and this year it will take place in  Greece. Our final training tours, in which we compete with local teams, are taking place in Hungary and Romania throughout July and August. This summer tour will be very beneficial  but the cost of taking part, together with the cost of the European Championships, is between £4,000 and £5,000. 

So far, all of these trips have been self funded and my parents have done all they can to fund these trips, and of course I am very grateful for all of their support.  

I train on average 12 hours a week, after school and in the evenings, and most weekends I compete in the British Waterpolo league, National Age Championships (gold medal this year in the U19), British Championships and regional competitions. This means I can't commit to a regular job in order to fund my waterpolo passion.

Therefore, I am asking for donations where anyone can spare so I am able represent my team and country in GB waterpolo this summer.  Please help where you can, no donation is too little, and I am extremely grateful for your support!

Ciao a tutti!

Da due anni faccio parte della squadra femminile juniores 2002 in preparazione dei campionati europei junior di settembre di quest'anno. Sono stata molto fortunata ad aver raggiunto questo traguardo nel processo di selezione e per me sarebbe molto importante competere nel campionato europeo. Insieme alle mie compagne abbiamo partecipato a diversi tornei in preparazione per gli Europei - tra cui le UE Nations 2018 e 2019 a Brno, in cui siamo arrivate terze in entrambe le occasioni.

 
Il campionato europeo è la più grande competizione internazionale di pallanuoto per squadre juniores in Europa e quest'anno si svolgerà in Grecia. I nostri tour di allenamento, in cui gareggiamo con squadre locali, si svolgono in Ungheria e Romania a luglio e agosto. Questo tour estivo sarà molto utile ma il costo di partecipazione, unitamente al costo dei campionati europei, è compreso tra £ 4.000 e £ 5.000.

 
Finora, tutti questi viaggi sono stati autofinanziati e i miei genitori hanno fatto tutto il possibile per finanziare questi tour, e naturalmente sono molto grata per tutto il loro sostegno.

 
Mi alleno in media 12 ore a settimana, dopo la scuola e alla sera, e la maggior parte dei fine settimana gareggio nella British Waterpolo League, nei campionati nazionali  (medaglia d'oro quest'anno nella Under 19), nei campionati britannici e nelle competizioni regionali. Ciò significa che non posso impegnarmi in un lavoro regolare per finanziare la mia passione per la pallanuoto.

 
Per questo motivo, chiedo una donazione a chiunque voglia sostenermi in modo da poter rappresentare la mia squadra e il mio paese nella pallanuoto quest'estate. Nessuna donazione è troppo piccola, e sono estremamente grata per il tuo sostegno!
