Emily's Year in Jinja, Uganda

     This upcoming 2018-2019 school year, I have been given the incredible opportunity to go back to Jinja, Uganda to serve as a Year-Long Preschool Intern with HEAL Ministries at The James Place. The mission of HEAL Ministries is to empower & resource vulnerable, abandoned women & children in Christ-centered holistic programs that teach sustainability & family preservation.      The Lord has been so faithful in leading me to this amazing opportunity to be a small part of serving his precious little ones in the preschool and working to empower local teachers.      I am so humbled that God would allow me to be a part of what he is doing in Jinja, Uganda, but so excited to walk on this journey with Him! As I prepare to serve in Uganda next year, I have to raise $11,000 in order to cover air fees and living expenses while I am over there. I am currently working a part-time job at a local pizza place in Greenville, SC (in addition to full-time teaching) to raise as much of it on my own that I can, but I would love any support as I pursue the Lord’s call, whether that is through prayer or financial giving.
