My name is Emily Fallick, I am 13 years old and study at the North Oxfordshire Academy in Banbury, Oxfordshire.
I currently play inline hockey for Midland Mooseheads, in Lutterworth and Chipping Norton Trixsters, a ball team based in Oxfordshire. My position is the last line of defence - The Netminder (goalkeeper).
Despite only being 13, I am also displaying my talents in under 16's and have played under 19's.
In July this summer, in Los Angeles, I will be representing Team Great Britain in the under 12's and under 14's Inline Puck Hockey Squad at the AAU Junior Olympics. This is one of the few Worldwide Inline Puck Hockey Tournaments held on a yearly basis for junior players.
As a girl in a predominately male sport, this is even more of a great achievement to have been selected. This also means as a girl, I'm allowed to play down an age group.
The Great Britain Team is made up of all four home nations and brings together some of the best players available. To be asked to represent your country at any age is an honour and something that all sports people strive for during their sporting lifetime.
Unfortunately being asked to represent your country comes at a price, all the costs for training, GB shirts, off rink kit and more importantly the actual trip to Los Angeles has to be covered by my parents.
The trip lasts for 13 days and during that time the team will be taking part in a minimum of 10 games in two competitions (international and club tournaments) if the team does well that number could increase to about 15 games.
Hopefully the team will bring home some silverware, a lot of memories and I will make new friends from across the world.
If there was some way in which you might be able to assist me in completeing my dream to represent Team Great Britain this summer, it would be a massive help. Any small donation would be gratefully received.
