Hello!! I'm back with a HUGE update!

As we know, life is impermanent. Meaning, things change constantly. I want to thank you first of all, for your contributions so far, and I am happy to say I've completed some goals, took another course on some and have exceeded the others. Below you can see what my trajectory was last September, and I'm very excited to tell you where that arrow has landed almost 6 months later.

So, here it goes, the big news....

I'M OPENING A BAPTISTE AFFILIATE YOGA STUDIO IN MANDEVILLE, LA!!!

That's right, I have partnered with an amazing woman, LeAnna Hardy, to create this powerful community in the town I'm proud to call my home. So why am I here? To update you, but also, ask for a little more help along the way.

What's left? $1000 more still needs to be raised to help this dream come true.

I recently attended my last Baptiste Training in order to apply for my Baptiste Certification. It was an amazing weekend full of love, laughter, tears, and of course, YOGA! I'm asking for financial support to help with the cost of that training.

I've also recently upgraded my Yoga Alliance Credentials. Before, I was hoping to be 500-RYT, but I've amazed myself as I've upgraded to 200 E-RYT, YCEP, and am currently working towards and RYS. What does that mean? It means I am eligible and currently in the work of putting together a teacher training program. I am now excited to say that I can train YOU to teach yoga! I have the dates set for my first training starting in April. With this said, there are costs and work that I'm asking for support with.

With everything going on, your contributions will be so graciously appreciated to keep me hopping forward.

That's why I've committed to doing 1 FROG HOP for every $2 that's donated. I will go on live to complete all the frog hops, so you can watch me leap into the future of sharing Baptiste Yoga with the people I love so much.

Thank You and I Love You!

Namaste,

EMILY

Hi! My name is Emily and I am a 200 hour RYT certified yoga instructor. I completed my training through the Baptiste Yoga Institute in 2016 and have been teaching for almost two years now. I'm a former NCAA athlete and a swim coach for young swimmers. I'm an LSU alum, an artist and a mom. It's taken me 34 years to piece together my life's work and I can finally put it into words. My life's mission is to love, lead, serve, travel and teach unconventionally and unconditionally.

Growing up as an athlete, I wasn't sure why I loved swimming so much. My mind wasn't willing to comprehend why I would spend hours staring at the black line for 6+ miles per day. But, my heart knew better. It was the way I felt at the end of the day. I felt recalibrated. After a successful college career, I walked away from the pool and from all forms of exercise... more like ran away. While focusing on my major, graphic design, I felt pretty empty inside and unexcited about things. Getting married after college and having babies helped fill my love tank up, but there was this lurking feeling deep down of feeling empty.

After the loss of my 5 month old son and the end of my marriage, I was completely empty. So, I turned to yoga to help heal. Not only has it healed my body, but it showed me what I have been missing for so many years of my life. I was finally again, recalibrated. The great thing about yoga, is that it's so much more than just the physical exercise, It's helped me deal with everything else going on on the inside like grief and life after divorce. It's called me to be the teacher that I am today so I can share all the yummy benefits of this practice with all of you. It's through the sharing of the practice that I can actually connect with you, and those connections are all pathways to healing and serving. It's helped rebuild my life and gave meaning and purpose to all the obstacles I've faced and gave me the strength to endure whatever may come up ahead.

Most recently, after a 3 year custody battle, the judge placed my 5 year old girl in her father's home. I was, and still am, devastated. Yoga has helped me find love and abundance when others could say there's nothing left. It's opened the pathway to releasing some of my motherly energy on my young swimmers and take them on as my own. With them and through them, I will always have more children I can ever hope for. That's the beautiful thing about loosing something so huge. It opens up other pathways, one's that I would have been blind to before. So, as I maneuver through these pathways, I need your help.

I've set a goal, or a trajectory, for the next six months. Listed below are the things that are on my radar and in my heart. I'm on the pathway to both my Baptiste Certification and my 500 hour RYT, both will take my sharing of the practice to a whole other level and these programs will get me there. I know $10000 is a big number, but I have big intentions. It took me a long time to get to a place of self love and self worth and putting a quantifiable number on my value was easy because, frankly, I'm worth it and you and your children are worth doing this work for. Thank you for caring!

Much love,
Emily
