Hi my name is Sam, and this January 2015 I have been given a great opportunity to be part of a team that is going to Cambodia. With the help of a great organization, our team will spend two weeks learning about the people of Cambodia, Cambodia's rich history, and basically experiencing Cambodia to the fullest.
Unfortunately because of Cambodia's tragic past, much of the population of Cambodia is struggling to meet the needs of everyday life. I have the unique opportunity to see first hand the needs of the Khmer people and be take part in personally helping those in need.
But none of that is going to happen if I don't get there. This is where I'm asking for your help. I'm trying to raise $3000 to cover the cost of my trip to Cambodia. Included in the cost of this trip is the plane ticket, housing and meals provided by the host organization, and traveling vaccinations.
This trip won't be possible without your help, and I'm really excited to go. I'm so excited that I'll make this promise . When we reach the goal of $3000 before my trip begins, I WILL eat one of Cambodia's regional delicacies, tarantula spider. That's right, I'll videotape my very first time eating a spider while in Cambodia to show everyone.
So, if you want to see me get to Cambodia, see me help the Khmer people, or see me eat a spider, help me reach my fundraising goal. Your support and prayers are greatly appreciated.
