2 Black trans women need help securing Apt.!

We are two Black trans women living together, struggling with securing stable/permanent housing due to transphobic attacks, housing discrimination, and complications from the pandemic.

• We made this fundraiser last year in July 2020 to escape extremely violent and hazardous living conditions 
• We raised enough funding to successfully relocate to an apartment  where we stayed for 6 months with other roommates who had lived on the property for 4 years
• Unfortunately over time the landlord of the property became persistent in asking everyone in the unit to leave, citing false complaints of tenants seeing “strangers” throughout the property, in addition to a constant leak in our bathroom that could not be fixed unless there were significant renovations done to the pipes on our side of the building, that caused damages to the tenants unit underneath us.
• We were forced, yet again, to relocate the second week of January 2021 to an Airbnb.

9/30/21 Thank you to everyone who has shared and donated. Currently we are safe, but we are still asking for support in transitioning to permanent housing.
