Emergency Vet care for our Puppy Hope

Hi everyone, I am really not proud that I have to ask for help but unfortunately we are in a jam. And a friend of mine made me see it’s ok to ask others for help.

Hope our puppy had to undergo a very complicated emergency surgery to save her life on Saturday January 4th, 2025. We woke up Friday morning to the poor thing puking. This continued through out the day and over night. I did take her to the vet Friday afternoon but x-rays didn’t show enough detail. So I took her back Saturday morning. This alone cost me over $400

we didn’t expect or plan for such an emergency and are struggling to cover the costs. Jamie was off work for shut down over the holidays for three weeks which exhausted any funds we had. I did give the vet everything I had left and available but this still left me with a huge outstanding bill and it keeps growing with every day she remains with them under treatment. Not to mention the medications she will need.

I try my best to watch our pets like a hawk and some days it’s exhausting. But the little cute monster got into something, a piece of plastic lodged itself in two different anchor points in her stomach, cutting her stomach inside and lodging itself in there, apparently she ate some of her bedding, blankets toys, which then entangled itself all throughout her intestines and into that piece of plastic, which made it necessary to repair four different points in her intestines, which was a very, very complicated surgery. The vet said it was one of the worst cases she’s ever seen.

So the cost ended up at the high end of the estimate and some, which right now is at about $2800 and up. Now they say she is not out of the woods because of how complicated it was she has so many more chances of getting an infection. She will be hospitalized until further notice.

they say she’s young and her blood work is healthy but stitches have more chances of letting go because of how many repair points there are. And the possibility of her waste escaping in her body cause severe infection.

to say I’ve been beyond stressed out is an understatement. Jamie had gone back to work Friday afternoon so I’m actually at home dealing with all this alone and relaying information to Jamie.

i work part time and just asked my boss for more hours to help as well.

if anyone has a little to spare and is willing to to help it is greatly appreciated.

this has been so hard for me to do. But please if anyone could help out I really would appreciate it so very much. No amount is to small, even if it’s a few dollars it will help. Thank you❤️
