I adopted the sweetest little kitty several weeks ago, she was only 10 weeks when I picked her up.
She was an angel who loved to cuddle and was so loving.
Today when I woke up she wasn’t feeling well and it hit a point where my roommate and I knew something was wrong and took her to an emergency vet clinic.
Her kidneys weren’t functioning and she was anemic, hypoglycemic, and really dehydrated. The vet said it was likely she had a rare cat disease called Feline Infectious Peritonitis and wouldn’t survive even if we continued testing.
We didn’t want her to suffer so the most humane option was to euthanize her. This decision was so hard for us, especially after spending almost $3,000 trying to figure out what was wrong and save her. We’ve been stuck with a horrible lost and the costly vet bills.
