My name is Shaniece Sanders, and I’m a mother of six beautiful, energetic, and innocent children who depend on me for everything — and right now, I feel like I’m failing them.

A few days ago, the unthinkable happened. While driving, our only vehicle — our van — suddenly broke down. The engine locked up. Smoke started pouring out from under the hood. Then the radiator burst. I had to pull over in a panic and rush all six of my babies out of the vehicle, terrified it might catch fire. Thank God we made it out safe. But now… we’re stuck.

No way to get to school.

No way to get to doctor’s appointments.

No way to get groceries.

No way to live.

I’ve always tried to stay strong, especially for my kids. I come from the foster care system, so I know what it feels like to have no one. No parents to call. No family to fall back on. And now, as a mother, I’m the only support my children have — and I need help.

I’m asking for help to raise $2,500–$5,000 to get a safe, used vehicle big enough for me and my six kids. We don’t need anything fancy — just something reliable with enough seats to get us from one day to the next.
