Emergency Travel Expenses for Baby Jude
Donation protected
Hi, my name is Robin McGhee and I'm reaching out to the community to help fund Josh and Dacie McGhee's emergency travel expenses for baby Jude. Last Sunday, Jude was born 1 month premature via emergency C-section.
Jude has spent the last week in the NICU at Niswonger in Johnson City. He was born unable to breathe on his own and relied on an oxygen machine and a c-pap machine to help control his breathing. Dacie was worried and miserable as she experienced some post-surgery complications and remained in BRMC away from her family for 5 days. On Thursday, things were looking okay and Dacie was finally released from BRMC and excited to see her baby boy. However, on Friday, Jude was diagnosed with Rhinovirus and shortly after, he took a turn for the worse.
Over the last few days, Jude has struggled with a low platelet count and relied on medicines to help keep him going. Last night, Josh and Dacie were notified that things had really gone downhill. Jude began bleeding in his lungs. He had to be placed on a ventilator and was relying on medicines to keep his body functioning properly.
Today, Jude's doctors decided that he will need to be transferred to the medical center at Vanderbilt. Josh and Dacie are going to drive to Nashville tonight so they can be with Jude.
If you are able to donate, any amount would be helpful towards easing the financial burden on this family. Due to the current unplanned urgency of the situation, Josh and Dacie are both out of work and without pay. Even if you are unable to donate, we are asking for prayers for healing and a miracle for this sweet little boy.
