<div>Over the past 2 weeks I have been dealing with a lump behind my knee, this is commonly known as a bakers cyst. I started noticing red splotching on it and the pain began to be unbearable. I went to the ER to make sure that it was not a blood clot and they told me that it was a complex fluid, the next day it got infected. I had to wait a week to see an orthopedic doctor to get the cyst drained which was today, on Oct 2nd. I went today to the hospital for my appointment and they explained that they could not drain it and that I would need to get surgery. With the infection and the cyst being filled with complex fluid alongside it being behind my knee, it is in a very dangerous place to not be carefully taken out. My surgery is scheduled for tomorrow Oct 3rd and the recovery for it is up to 3 weeks.

<div>I am currently working in a job that does not offer me any sick leave or disability pay. I just finished school and have been serving full time while being in school, so I am not financially prepared for this surgery. Not working for 3 weeks means I have no income at all, my hands are tied. I live alone and I am completely financially independent, not being able to work is honestly the worst thing that can happen to me because that means I cannot make my monthly bills, like my rent or car payment, insurance, hydro, food. If anyone could help me, even a little bit. So that I can make my bills this month, it would mean a lot to me. I am not one to ask for help but in this situation I honestly have no other choice. Thank you in advance :(
