Finneas started having issues with his bowels one day, but the next day he started crying in pain and could no longer walk or sit up. After a 2 hour drive to the nearest emergency vet, they said he had a disc/back issue that could hopefully heal with time and bedrest. After two days of Finny doing nothing all day but occasionally take pain meds and laying there miserably, he had a followup with his vet. They were told to immediately drive to a specialist another two hours away. Finny is confirmed to have disc issues that require surgery. With the many health issues experienced in my family over the past 5+ years, funds for emergency animal surgery isn't easily accessible for my parents. Any spare dollars will go right towards paying off these bills so my family doesn't need to get a loan for our sweet baby boy that is only 4 and still has so much life left to live.
