Emergency surgery for my dad in South Africa

My 67-year old father sobs in pain all night and day, because the arteries to his legs and feet are blocked, especially after his heart surgery, when they used a vein from his leg to use for his heart.

Now he has a severe case of Peripheral Arterial Disease and no health insurance whatsoever and they need funds URGENTLY to prevent amputation.



 My dad, Hendrick, was recently asked to leave his job as a butcher in Kirkwood, South Africa, after working for this employer for 15 years without health cover or any incentives (apart from a dilapidated company house on a dangerous farm with no running drinking water, no security features and black mold).

After his heart surgery at 59, he had to get straight back to working 10 hour days on his feet and carrying heavy carcasses around, because his employer does not offer paid sick leave.
In the meantime, my mother had two heart attacks in one week and can hardly do any chores or walk more than a few steps at a time.

He worked right through the lockdown period.
Two months ago, the pain in his feet and legs became unbearable and he collapsed at work. His doctor booked him off, but his employer soon told him that he should stop working and vacate the house end of September 2020, while both my parents are so sick that they can’t sleep or function properly! 

No retirement fund or health cover and he received a measly 2-week payout from his employer, an influential millionaire in the small town where they live.

Now he has to have emergency angioplasty or they will amputate his right foot!

With no retirement fund, he will need to find a new job and he can’t do that if he can’t walk or drive.
They have nowhere to go even after whatever procedure he has to undergo and I am their only child. I am unemployed and struggling just to get by and unable to help at all. 

Both my parents have diabetes and heart disease and the medical costs are choking them.
With South Africa’s weak currency, even a single $/ € amounts to about 15 times its value, so literally every Dollar/ Euro helps.

Even if they can just pay off the procedure over a few years, any financial help will be greatly appreciated, because they have to look for a place to stay with no retirement money whatsoever. Any help will be appreciated!
