Emergency Surgery for Ari

Who is Ari?

Ari is a beautiful, happy-go-lucky 4 year old German shepherd golden retriever mix. She loves traveling in the car and visiting new places and meeting new people when ever she can. Best of all, she absolutely loves life and making people smile where ever she goes.  She has a charm to her that always seems to light up the room.

She is a complete dork who goes out of her way to try to make people laugh.

Ari not only loves visiting new places and meeting new people, but she loves her friends and family as well. When ever she sees people she hasn't seen in a while, or her family comes home, she loves to "scream" with excitement like a dying whale. Often times, you can find her snuggling with my cat Olive, or laying amongst the guinea pigs like a queen.

Because of Ari's highly spirited and happy nature, her absolute most favorite thing in the world is frisbee. She will play frisbee with anyone and anything. If you look happy, it's frisbee time. If you look sad, it's frisbee time. If you look bored, it's frisbee time. All by yourself? You bet Ari will come on over and try to get you to play with her.
She's my best friend, my soul dog, but there's one problem...

Recently, our family was playing frisbee with Ari when they noticed her mouth was bleeding. My brother went to check it out and discovered a tumor was growing inside her mouth in front of her canine tooth. This tumor has popped up within the past 2 weeks, as she just completed her annual wellness exam.

We are absolutely heartbroken with this news. Ari is just 4 years old and loved by so many people. We don't know yet if its benign or cancerous, and the vet said they'd be able to tell once it has been removed.

This dog is my life and everything I never knew I needed.  I can't lose her. I can't sit around and risk it spreading if it is cancerous.

The vet estimated the cost to be around $3000. The funds from this campaign will go directly towards covering the cost of her surgery. Anything over the fundraising goal will be donated towards an animal shelter.

To make matters worse, our other dog Lucy, was diagnosed with cancer about 6 months ago.  We just spent thousands of dollars saving her and having a massive tumor removed from her mammary gland.

Between juggling that and Ari's needed surgery,  we are struggling financially to pay for everything. I feel really guilty that we were able to help Lucy, but can't do the same for Ari.

Please consider donating towards Ari's surgery fund. I hate asking for money, but with the situation we're in, we need help from the community to get her treated in a timely manner.

This dog means the world to so many people, and never fails to brighten everyone's day. Please share and God bless you.
