I’m unfortunately starting this GoFundMe with a lot of sad news that I’ve come to find out concerning Dizia and her sick grandfather. Earlier this year her grandfather was diagnosed with tuberculosis following several unexpected events caused by Typhoon Mawar. First, their house was severely damaged and unlivable. As of right now, the house is currently under repair but her Grandfather’s health is quickly declining after multiple visits to the hospital since the typhoon. With their only home under repair, her grandfather was living in the house despite its conditions post-typhoon. Currently, her grandfather’s TB is controlled through medication, but doctors have also stated that cancer related issues are no longer curable at his state and old age. Grandpa is now back in his home but time is limited since he is currently in the transition stage into hospice care (care offered towards the end of an individual’s life). I’m doing the best I can to help and support Dizia financially during her time of financial need and the grief she is experiencing. Since her family is already located in Guam, I want her to have financial support given that she and her family have been doing the best that they can to provide care to her grandfather. I hope that she can cherish whatever time there is left with her grandfather without worrying too much about finances, especially with the holidays coming around.
