Hi, my name is Yesenia Leon, and I’m reaching out for support to help my sister and her family in need, who are facing extreme hardships due to ongoing power outages in the area that she lives. Right now they only have access to a few hours of electricity each day—if they’re lucky. The black outs have made it nearly impossible for families like hers to have stable access to basic necessities. These blackouts don’t just mean darkness; they mean spoiled food, uncharged devices, unbearable heat with no fans, and constant stress on their mental and physical well-being. I am raising funds to provide them with essential survival tools: a solar generator, power banks, rechargeable fans, and solar lights—items that will bring them the stability they desperately need. These power outages are not going away for a long time. Additionally, food prices have skyrocketed, making it increasingly difficult for them to afford daily meals. On top of that, their water situation is dire—because the water infrastructure was never completed, they rely on a fragile pump and hose system to transport water up a hill to their home, a system that constantly breaks. With your help, I hope to upgrade their water system so they can have reliable access to one of life’s most basic necessities. I will list other items they need such as parts for their transportation that they cannot afford. I help them on a monthly basis, but honestly, I could use some support.
