Emergency OPEN HEART Surgery and recovery

On November 10th JJ underwent a  neurological stress test. The findings were discouraging showing  100% blockage in his left ventricle. On the 13th an angiogram was completed in hopes to have stents placed. Unfortunately during the testing JJ was given the diagnosis of coronary artery disease. They also stated that he will need to undergo open heart surgery. JJ is only forty years old and  is otherwise healthy. The team is very optimistic about the surgery but our little family is terrified.  As most of you know JJ is the father to two little boys Carter and Grayson. Due to the the extra stress of having a child with his own significant struggles JJ is so vital to our everyday functioning. JJ is employed through a mental health center where he works inside middle schools with SED youth. Unfortunately he will be hospitalized for 4-5 days (alone, thanks Covid) and then will be out of work for up to six weeks. JJ's employer does not provide short term disability, paid time off or extended sick leave. He only has two floating holidays that he can utilize. We are in need of assistance for our family.  Financial assistance due to hospital bills as well as surviving with a lack of income from JJ. Food or meal assistance would be appreciated as well. Thank you all for how kind you have been. We are extremely nervous but hopeful that this will allow us to have JJ in our lives as long as possible.
