Greetings.
On Sunday May 7, 2023, I was caught in gang crossfire while attempting to drop my son off at home in the SouthShore neighborhood of Chicago. While attempting to shield him from the rapid automatic gun fire which was being fired from the south of us, I was shot in the left buttock area with the bullet being lodged in my left thigh.
My son who I thank God was ok was taken to safety by Chicago Police Officers and handed safely to his mother while I was transported to the University of Chicago Hospitals. This unexpected medical expense along with the lost wages being unable to work will be a huge burden on me and my family.
