Emergency Meals for the Food Insecure

HAND CRAFTED catering + events announced April 14, 2020 that we will activate our New Rochelle kitchen to help serve 2,000 daily meals to frontline workers and food-insecure families across multiple districts in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The company, which closed to consumers to protect workers and stop the spread of the virus, has already been providing 1,000 meals every day to feed a smaller group of organizations, alongside partners World Central Kitchen and The Migrant Kitchen.

HAND CRAFTED was founded on the principle that business has a responsibility to give back to the community. We have grown with the support of our community while actively helping the community that has nurtured us.

When COVID-19 spread throughout New York and the tristate area, HAND CRAFTED made the difficult decision to close its doors to consumers, but after an initial period of quarantine, we joined in efforts to feed those in desperate need of basic nourishment.

We are ingredient-driven, locally sourced and thoughtfully produced. Our direct community includes local farms and farmers, sustainable packaging purveyors, permanent resident workers and clients who care about the environment, food supply chain and a range of other important social causes.  

We hope we can continue this movement, onboard more organizations in need, and help create a stronger community than we had before.
