Emergency Hurricane Dorian relief for the Bahamas

On between Monday 2nd September 2019 and Tuesday 3rd September 2019, category 5 Hurricane Dorian passed over the Bahamas leaving unprecedented damage in its wake.  At least 13, 000 homes were destroyed and about 17, 000 inhabitants of Abaco and 50,000 in Grand Bahama are stranded and in dire need of supplies and assistance.

"We are in the midst of a historic tragedy in parts of our northern Bahamas," Bahamian Prime Minister Hubert Minnis said at a news conference in Nassau.

We created this page, so our friends, our local businesses and everyone that knows our organization can reach-out to us and find a way to be helpful.

As a 501(c) (3) organization, America Developing Smiles of PR invites other organizations to join our efforts in our fundraising campaign providing fiscal sponsorship of the funds raised.

We will mainly focus our efforts in providing power generators in the Islands.

Any donation for this cause can make a great difference!

After 10 years of continuous work at America Developing Smiles of South Florida (ADSFL) decided to expand the organization’s mission to Puerto Rico. In the year 2007, America Developing Smiles of Puerto Rico (ADSPR) embarked on a labor of love to promote education and human development of Puerto Rico’s needy children.

With 501(c) 3 federal recognition, America Developing Smiles of PR  (ADSPR) sets out to meet the educational and social challenges of the island’s poverty-stricken communities. We believe in the transformational capacity of education to develop better individuals that contributes to society.

With Local Boards that follows yearly programs and effectively executes goals, both ADSFL AND ADSPR  are mostly composed of volunteers. Therefore, we have no significant overhead or administrative expenses. That is, 99% percent of what we raise, goes to where it is intent for it to be: to the projects that need it the most.

During 20 years of continuous work, America Developing Smiles has helped many children and its communities in the areas of education, after school programs, and provided improvements in infrastructure to educational centers lacking needed resources. We develop educational and recreational extracurricular activities and after-school programs as preventive measures for the needy and children at risk. To support our work, we raise funds through special events, individual and corporate gift-giving campaigns, and make alliances with other NGOs.
