Afghanistan is caught in the middle of a severe economic, healthcare, and humanitarian crisis. With 97% of the population projected to face poverty and hunger, we urge the international community to join together to support a humanitarian response.
Afghans Empowered* (www.afghansempowered.org) is a U.S. registered nonprofit and is raising money for humanitarian aid, and healthcare needs, with a priority of our most vulnerable groups in the country: women, children, displaced, jobless, and financially insecure people in the country. All proceeds for this fundraiser will support the following initiatives we can invest solutions into:
- humanitarian aid and monthly food supplies for family, including monthly sponsorship through our distributors at Aseel (www.Aseel.xyz)
- maternal healthcare in Kandahar, and funding to disperse mobile maternal healthcare clinics out to other cities and provinces. Mothers who are affected by hunger and malnutrition are facing increased complications related to childbirth and pregnancy. Learn Afghan’s (www.learnafghan.org) program for maternal healthcare provides neonatal and postnatal care, as well as 3 month sponsorships for women
- supporting disadvantaged communities throughout 34 provinces of Afghanistan through Learn Afghan and Aseel, by working with hospitals throughout the country to sponsor patients and their families who are sick due to malnutrition
How your donate helps:
- $40USD supports baby formula and diapers for one month
- $70 USD feeds one family of 8 for one month
- $100 USD supports one woman’s healthcare needs from prenatal to postnatal care
- $200USD covers one month expenses to employ women doctors in mobile health clinics to different cities
Please donate any amount that you can, and help us support families in Afghanistan. Per US Treasury and OFAC licenses, we are permitted to send all donations directly to Afghanistan and have cash access for distribution through our agreement with US and Afghan registered organization, Aseel, and Afghan registered, UNICEF grant recipient, Learn Afghan. Funds will be managed by our team in the US, and our staff in Kabul, Afghanistan.
