Emergency Home Rebuild

My Grandmother Betsy (whom I refer to as mom) has helped people throughout her entire life. She has raised three of her grandchildren as her own, including Angel who is a 23yr old low-spectrum autistic, who still resides with her. 

She is and has always been an active part of a church as a parishioner, volunteer, and full-time employee. As well as donating time and money to help things like packing food for starving Somalians.

In the past few months, her roof partially collapsed - leaving one bedroom in total shambles and also multiple leaks along all the inside walls - so the entire roof and gutters need to be replaced, as well as part of the ceiling, and several walls need sheetrock replacement and painting. 

I’ve opened my small home to both Betsy and Angel, as well Betsy's son David, who has flown in from California to help with this crisis.

We have been given 30 days by the city to bring the entire property to code and are working diligently with contractors and seeking funding through all methods... 

At this point the response from friends and family for resources and in-kind items to refurbish the house has been humbling to say the least. 

I regret that we are unable to afford what is needed to restore the house (walls, roof, paint, etc..) and am asking for any financial help you can provide. Even $5.00.  

Our hope is to weather this storm (or un-weather it...), and be able to continue to help others in our remaining years.
