Emergency help needed due to Hurricane Ian

I have set up this fundraiser to help friends of mine Peggy Willms and Dana Villadsen, who are currently going through a terrible situation. Peggy is a wonderful person, A Mum, Sister, Daughter, Grandma, Friend, writer and coach who has done so much to help others and is one of the most selfless people I know. She has dedicated so much of her life to helping others. Consistently going above and beyond, giving her time and energy to help people, putting them first, and never asking for help. Dana is a wonderful kind man who would give you the shirt off his back. After recently going through a huge medical ordeal with his heart, the surgery he needs has been postponed due to the current situation. They now really need our help.

Many will have seen the recent Hurricane that battered the Florida coast. As this reached a category 4 Hurricane, it landed on the coast of Florida. Peggy and Dana were trapped in their house for 9 hours whilst 150mph winds raged around them as the storm went straight through their neighbourhood. They were luckily physically ok, but their new home sustained significant damage to the roof and walls, and water was everywhere. They have no power, water or internet. Around them, roads are damaged and closed off. Food supplies are getting scarce. Their roof is not watertight, and there is still the risk of further storms and rain. There is the risk of mould damage, and due to how badly the area was hit, it will take months to rebuild. Some sites will never be the same again.

With so much unknown, there is a risk may be displaced from their home, and their main focus now is survival.

They are both unable to work and have no set dates for when anything may be fixed.

If you could help with any small amount, it would be so gratefully received to ease one worry about bills while they cannot work, and help them rebuild.

I know they have both touched so many lives. Always lifting and supporting others and helping them to see everything they are capable of.
