A journalist who never exploited the suffering of his people or succumbed to the allure of wealth and fame, Abdul Rahman refused assistance even when his own family struggled. He drew a clear line between respectable journalism and the sensationalized reporting that feeds off tragedies, understanding the sanctity of life and the importance of preserving the dignity of those affected by conflict.

<div>Tragically, Abdul Rahman has left behind his wife and four young children, aged 10, 7, and 2-year-old twins, as well as a sister who desperately seeks to provide for them in the midst of destruction and poverty. The family has been left without a source of income or support, struggling to secure basic necessities such as food, clean water, electricity, medical care, and a safe shelter.
