Emergency help for Trayce’s family

First of all I would like to thank each and every person for stopping by to read about this special, amazing & strong little boy’s circumstances.

My name is Stacey Melara, writing on behalf of the Ramsay family.  Trayce Bennett is 1 of 3 children Nicole Ramsay raises on her own.  Trayce is 12 years old, has high functioning Autism, Crohn’s disease & Colitis. He has been in and out of children’s hospital, struggling with his severe health issues since he was 3 months old. His mother Nicole has been his main support through all of these emergencies, flights & drives back and forth from Children’s Hospital. Due to the amount of travelling back and forth from children’s hospital durning each month and the time spent there. Nicole has been unable to work a regular full-time job this past year. Unfortunately for Nicole, due to covid she has not received child support payments since March. 

Nicole is struggling to meet her financial needs. I have pleaded with her over the past several months to allow me to start a gofund me. I want to help relieve her from some of the financial burden, while she focus on Trayce’s health. Although Nicole was reluctant to ask for help. This last emergency trip to Vancouver Children’s Hospital , has stretched her to the limit. Trayce’s health conditions seem to be getting worse as the months pass by. Every two weeks to every month he goes to Vancouver childrens hospital for his renflexis infusions for his Crohn's disease. He also is having to get blood and iron transfusions for each visit due to him being severely anemic, from the ulcers in his colon. 

Family and friends support Nicole the best way they can durning these times. Unfortunately we just aren’t able to help to the extent that they need. With Vehicle payments, insurance, rent, utilities, groceries, food while in Vancouver, expenses while there, travelling expenses to and from. Things are piling up on this poor mama and becoming overwhelming for her. 

Trayce started with a fever 3 days ago. Nicole was able to break the fever on and off for about a day and half. Trayce couldn’t hold down food or water not even medication for nausea. Nicole took trayce intoPenticton emergency, where they were admitted immediately. Once seeing a few drs over a 12-14 hr period, they made the decision to rush them off by med flight from Kelowna to Vancouver last night. Everyone is extremely worried for Trayce’s health and his mom is trying to be as strong as possible durning these times. She’s worried about her financial responsibilities, when she should be able to worry about her son without that added stress. Trayce made need a major surgery and this is extremely worried about this, as 2 months ago Trayce we all most last Trayce from being sedated durning testing.
