Emergency help for the people of Bwindi Uganda
Donation protected
We're raising money to help with emergency food for the kids at Nteko Community Orphanage School in Uganda.
With borders closed due to COVID, the people of Nteko in Uganda can't work in their gardens which are in neighboring Democratic Republic of Congo.
This means staples like maize flour and cabbages are hard to get and expensive.
Can you pitch in a few dollars to help the kids and their guardians in Bwindi village?
My BFF Heather (aka Mama Alex) and her son visited last year. She's kept in contact with Augustine, and as soon as the pandemic hit, she reached out to see how the village is faring. Here's what he had to say:
"The Corona virus cases in Uganda resulting in the country lockdown and all our gardens were in board of Congo, they have stopped everyone not to go back in their gardens because they are in Congo so no crossing.
The prices of food have gone up and lam much concerned about community orphanage children."
Those of us who are more fortunate have wondered how we can help those less fortunate during the pandemic. Your small donation will help kids during a time of crisis. We'll be sending the donations directly to the village for distribution to those who need it most.
Please do what you can!
