Emergency help for Morales, Guatemala

The town of Morales Izabal, where I grew up, lies at low elevation between Guatemala's largest lake and the Caribbean coast. On November 5th Hurricane Eta brought torrential rain and flooding. Residents were awakened at 3 a.m. to rapidly rising water levels.  Many homes filled with water before the evacuations began.  People were forced to  rush to safety with whatever belongings they could carry.

It breaks the soul to see how people are suffering, how everything they've worked so hard for is lost. Not being able to put a plate of food on the table, running out of clothes, losing your domestic animals, losing your planting, knowing there will be no harvest, losing a family member. It must motivate us who can lend a helping hand to be kind, to support our brothers and sisters. Thank you for supporting me on this occasion by donating and trusting me with your donations. All proceeds will be shared with my friends and family who are helping each other rebuild their lives. The need is great. Many families don't even have a way to provide food for their children. Thank you very much to everyone who can help.
