Kristin’s husband, Bud, has faced an overwhelming medical crisis over the past few months. What began as long-term back problems quickly escalated this summer when he suffered a severe episode that led to emergency surgery, multiple complications, and eventually a stroke. Since then, Bud has endured weeks in the hospital and rehab, leaving him with significant neurological challenges, limited mobility, and the need for daily care. Kristin has remained by his side as his primary caregiver, working remotely while navigating the steep medical, physical, and emotional demands of this journey. Despite her strength and dedication, the weight of mounting medical bills and uncertainty about Bud’s future treatment has become overwhelming.

Currently, the family faces more than $79,000 in uncovered medical expenses, including an ambulance transfer that insurance would not cover. On top of that, Bud’s employer is ending his insurance, leaving Kristin and Bud with even greater financial strain as they seek urgent neurological care at Vanderbilt or Emory. Your support will help cover these unexpected medical costs, provide access to needed evaluations and therapies, and ease the crushing burden this family is carrying. Any gift—large or small—will make a real difference in helping Bud and Kristin face this season with hope and strength. Above all, the family is asking for prayers as they navigate the daily needs and demands.
