Emergency Heat Aid

Water Drop LA is a mutual aid group and 501(c)3 nonprofit that addresses water insecurity within unhoused communities in Los Angeles. As SoCal temperatures spike and reach record-setting highs this week, we need to raise as much as possible to purchase additional water for our weekly distributions and partner organizations. Unhoused residents are at high risk of heat-related illness due to extended exposure to direct sun, and staying hydrated is one of the best ways to prevent serious injury. Unfortunately, there is very limited public access to clean, potable water in Skid Row and Downtown LA, forcing many unhoused individuals to travel long distances for water or to risk going without it.

Every week for the last two years, Water Drop volunteers have been hand-delivering gallons of water to unhoused individuals living in Skid Row. Small-dollar donations fund all supplies, which is why your donation makes all the difference. No Water Drop LA staff are paid at any time, and every dollar you donate will go directly toward purchasing water, snacks, transportation, and additional supplies.
