<div>Many of you know that I am on disability for the condition <strong>Stiff Person Syndrome</strong>.
</div>
<div>I am receiving immune globulin IV infusions every four weeks. My neurologist started these because of disease progression.
</div>
<div>He said NO to me returning to part-time work.
</div>
<div>The treatments seemed to be helping, but for over six months, I have been worse.
</div>
<div>I do still have good days, but bad days are worse than before.
</div>
<div>This has resulted in many more doctor and ER visits.
</div>

<div>I'm now quite stressed financially.
</div>
<div>I've had to use credit to pay bills and have fallen behind.
</div>

<div>After wavering about asking for help, I received an electric shut-off notice that is <strong>$1,500</strong>. A program to pay an emergency electric bill was ended. I only found out after the bill went unpaid for 7 months.
</div>
<div><strong>The shut-off is paused due to my medical condition, but only for 10 days.</strong> There is a long wait for assistance, and the electric company wants a minimum of $1,500 to stop the shut-off.

<div>My medical bills currently total <strong>$4,415</strong>. One ER visit was written off with the hospital's charity program. I am trying to work with them.
