After 11 years, Marie was unexpectedly let go from the company she’d been working for with no severance or anything! With 2 very young kids (One 2 yr old, the other 3 yrs), this leaves her in a REALLY financially rough spot until she can get another job.
When she started at the company in 2007, it was a Scientology company. The owner later left the cult and, because of her continued employment with them, she too was declared and essentially excommunicated. Almost every support network she had went too since she was brought up in Scientology. This included her mom and many many friends.
Since then, she’s appeared on Leah Remini: Scientology, the Aftermath (season 2 episode 2) to speak of just some of the atrocities and abuse she was personally subjected to.
I’m posting this since I know she hates to ask for help and because she was left high and dry by her now-former employer. Monthly expenses alone, including mortgage & day care for her kids (which she needs to maintain while she searches for another job) are extremely high, so I'm hoping to raise at least 2 months to give her and her family some breathing room.
She’s also open to relocating to cut down on expenses but needs time to get her affairs in order and, as we all know, moving itself is quite pricey.
Marie has always been there for me and everyone else around her. I want her to now feel the love in her time of need.
