On the 30th of July, the village of Leyburn, North Yorkshire was flooded. My sister, Charlie's house was hit by the flood and everything was lost to the flood that wasn't above 4 foot and unfortunately house insurance is presently not applicable. The animals had to be saved by the local fire brigade and as you can imagine, all are in shock including my sister.
Charlie will need everything from clothes to sofas, bed to bedding and pet supplies. Everything you can think of. As this was a bungalow, everything has been affected.
The photos attached are from when the fire service was there, this has now since risen higher as a large proportion of the village has been hit as well as other surrounding areas.
I don't know how much it would cost to build a house back again after something like this so please ignore the top figure asked, but we need to start somewhere.
This is a fund to try and help Charlie regain what was lost... if possible, the smallest donation will help!
If you can not help with a financial donation, please let us know if you have spare furniture, know of a house or apartment to rent...anything to help someone rebuild their life.
This is needed as soon as possible as currently she has no where to live or even clothes to her name.
If you can help, we would be forever in your debt.
Thank you and God bless
Nikki (Charlie's sister)
