<div>As friends of Oday, we first learned of his situation online. Seeing the genocide and destruction unfolding around him through video and pictures moved us to respond to his request and help. Anyone who knows Oday, including myself, would speak volumes of his kindness and steadfastness. A little about him: <strong>Oday al-Naji</strong> is from Gaza, from Deir al-Balah. He is currently 28 years old. We are raising funds for him and his parents, <strong>Fatima al-Naji (62 years old)</strong> and <strong>Adnan al-Naji (65 years old)</strong>, to escape the current reality of death and hunger to a safe place where they can start a new and secure life.

<div>$15,000 of the donations will be used for travel expenses through the currently available travel agencies and offices in Egypt, as traveling through Egypt is the only way. We have determined that around $5,000 of the donations will also be needed for basic necessities such as food, water, clothing, medicine, etc.

<div>The donated funds are managed by friends of Oday in Leipzig, Germany, in cooperation with another group of friends in Egypt.
