Hi,

this Monday my mom’s cat Oscar got injured and taken to the vet. We nor the vet knows how the injury occurred but we suspect that he has been hit by a car and consequently broke his back leg in half. The operation costs 60.000 sek (~5.500 $), excluding rehabilitation and extra veterinary services. Oscar’s insurance can only pay 75% of the operation costs and the rest my mom has to pay for herself, which is 15.000 sek (~1.450 $) excluding rehab, vet stays and complementary resources. Moreover, she had to pay for an emergency leak in her bathroom last week.

Oscar is luckily due for the operation this week and the leak has been fixed but the costs are taking a tool on my mom. My mom doesn’t want to ask for help but she clearly needs it now and the money will go to her so she can pay off Oscar’s veterinary debt.

My mother has been raising me and my siblings the best way she could as a divorced mom. Fortunately she found love again. Two years ago when the majority of her children moved out for college, her and her boyfriend adopted two cats; Oscar and Siiri. They are her new babies who can fill up the void that has been left in her nest.

Oscar and Siiri are from the same litter and are currently almost 2 years old. Oscar is such a mom’s boy and follows her everywhere and loves cuddles meanwhile Siiri likes to keep her distance unless it’s time for her daily snuggles. Both cats are very fond of each other and of their new family and we love them too, a lot.

I, as the oldest daughter and my siblings want to give back to our mother for the care she has given us all through out our lives. We have been struggling with depression, generalised anxiety disorder, adhd and more over and she has always been there for us to help even though she herself has been struggling.

Please, help us raise money for our mom and her kitty Oscar!
