Judith Conant Chase, 85, an American citizen living in Patlekhet, Kavre, Nepal, has dedicated her life to helping the people of this small Asian country.

Now, Judith needs support of her own. Recently, she had a fall in her home, fracturing two vertebrae in her back. On September 25, Judith had major back surgery to repair one vertebra that was shattered.

These were unexpected expenses, with a hospital stay to stabilize one vertebra with a total of eight screws. She is now facing additional expenses to cover medical treatments, medications, skilled nursing care, and physical therapy.

DEDICATED TO NEPAL

Judith initiated Everything Organic Nursery (EVON) in 2010, a project to introduce and promote organic farming and tree propagation throughout Nepal. Later, she established the nonprofit Himalayan Biointensive, an NGO dedicated to bringing healthy and sustainable farming principles to the country.

Since 1974, Judith trekked the length and breadth of the country, documenting her travels with photo studies and extensive journal notes of the living traditions of Nepal’s various ethnic groups. These experiences led to Judith opening the Living Traditions Museum at the Changu Narayan UNESCO World Heritage site and publishing her book, “The Beauty of Purposeful Living,” in 2019, chronicling her 35-plus years of travels in Nepal.
