At the end of January April had surgery to remove a brain tumor. One week later the pathology results showed it to be a Grade IV Glioblastoma.
April is still working as she can but is needing to focus on treatment first and foremost. Although she is lucky at work with support and FML, medical leave does not pay out at full salary leaving the possibility of some financial overhead gaps.
She is also looking for resources to help care for her daughter Kaylee while she is in treatment such as a tutor and part time care taker.
Treatment includes an aggressive 42 days of combined chemotherapy, radiation and immunotherapy.
This is also a cancer in which we can always hope for the best but even with a successful treatment can return to turn things upside down again at any time.
Anything helps in a time of so many unknowns.
