Emergency Covid-19 appeal for Bangladesh
In the name of Allah, the Most Merciful, The Most Gracious. Dear Brothers and sisters Asalaamualaikum.
As the nation goes with unknown period of lock down as a result of global pandemic, we all know the COVID-19 will hit the poorest people in Bangladesh more than any other group.About 60 million people in Bangladesh live underneath the poverty line, and the majority of them are day labourers. It’s more likely people have to fight the hunger before the Corona!
Who are we?
We are a group of Bangladeshi immigrants. We are not any charity organization. We want to stand beside the poor and needy people in Bangladesh, which means no operating cost/managing cost. All your donation goes to direct support with 100% transparency.
Who are you helping?
Your donation will help most vulnerable people; day labourers, widows, orphans, disabled regardless of their clans and religious views. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: ‘’The best of all charities is to feed a hungry person.”
Distribution of your donation
We will not be distributing the donation randomly or in any specific village, instead your donation will go to the genuine people who are in need. There is no limit on how much you can help. We are hoping to help 500 families; maybe together we can cross to a thousand or even more Insha-Allah.
Packages you may consider;
1. £10 Basic food supply for a small family (4 members) for 15 days
2. £15 Basic food supply for a medium family (6 members) for 15 days
3. £20 Basic food supply for an extended family (8-10 members) for 15 days
Basic food supply include; Rice, Dhal (lentil), Potato, Oil, Salt, onion.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "The believer's shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity." - Al-Tirmidhi
