Emergency Care for Ruby
Donation protected
Ruby, formally known as “Sara”, was found running in traffic on I-26 by a Good Samaritan and relinquished to Laurens County Animal Control. I firmly believe this is another neglect case and was able to escape. Ruby has had minimum care. She has been dewormed, given a flea and tick preventative, and heartguard at Lauren’s County. I picked her up this morning at 10 and tried to get her into my vet this afternoon, but they were completely booked. She will have a full evaluation tomorrow at 10 am. My heart breaks for this sweet angel.
She was released to me as a “Foster to Adopt”, I am taking on full financial responsibility to get her back to the healthy baby she needs to be. It will be a long battle but we will be beside her in this next chapter of her life. She struggles to walk because she has such bad blisters on her feet and NO muscle tone. This evening, Ruby vomited an entire stomach of bug carcasses and is full of worms.
The financial aspect is a bit intimidating considering the severity of her condition. However, I feel that we will be able to win this battle. I am asking for any donation towards her medical bills. She deserves the life that her previous owner failed to give.
