Emergency Medical Aid for Tío Pepe

Dear Family, Friends & caring people of this world,

today I am writing to you to ask for your support. My uncle Pepe was working in the woods and a piece of wood hit his right hand, it hurt a little bit, but he thought that it was nothing serious to worry about.

After some years, it started to grow a tumor. He visited some doctors and did some minor treatments, but there was not enough money for a major treatment.

Due to the growth of the tumor, tío Pepe was unable to work and now resides with my cousin Harri in Lima, the capital of Peru. They were waiting  on an appointment in the public hospital this May 2020, unfortunately the date has been postponed indefinitely due to covid.

The night of September 9, 2020 Pepe was treating a small wound on the tumor, when it errupted with pus and blood. He was immediately taken to two public hospitals and denied treatment at both, despite the constant blood loss.
Today, on September 25, the tumor burst again, my uncle pepe has a lot of pain and they took him to the hospital again. This time he was attended and the hospital suggests an urgent operation.

Unfortunately, Pepe's insurance only covers half of the cost. My family has to pay the other half, $1800. They are humble people and because of the pandemic they do not have a job at this moment.

hoy les escribo para pedirles su apoyo. Mi tío Pepe estaba trabajando en el bosque y un trozo de madera le golpeó la mano derecha. Le dolió un poco, pero pensó que no era nada grave de qué preocuparse.

Después de algunos años, en aquel punto de su mano comenzó a crecer un tumor. Visitó a algunos médicos e hizo algunos tratamientos menores, pero no había suficiente dinero para un tratamiento mayor.

Debido al crecimiento del tumor, el tío Pepe no pudo trabajar y ahora vive con mi primo Harri en Lima, la capital del Perú. Estaban esperando una cita en el hospital público este mayo de 2020, lamentablemente la fecha se ha pospuesto indefinidamente por covid.

El 9 de setiembre del 2020 Pepe estaba curando una pequeña herida en el tumor, cuando estalló con pus y sangre. Fue llevado de emergencia a dos hospitales públicos y se le negó tratamiento en ambos, a pesar de la constante pérdida de sangre.
Hoy, 25 de septiembre, el tumor reventó nuevamente, mi tío pepe tiene mucho dolor y lo llevaron nuevamente al hospital. Esta vez fue atendido y el hospital sugiere una operación urgente.

Lamentablemente, el seguro de mi tío Pepe solo cubre la mitad del costo. Mi familia tiene que pagar la otra mitad, $1800. Son personas humildes y por causa de la pandemia no tienen trabajo en este momento.

Liebe Familie, Freunde und hilfsbereite Menschen dieser Welt,

Heute wende ich mich an Euch, um um eure Unterstützung zu bitten. Vor vielen Jahren arbeitete mein Onkel Pepe im Wald und ein Stück Holz traf seine rechte Hand. Es tat etwas weh, aber er dachte, dass es nichts ist, um das man sich Sorgen machen müsse.

Nach einigen Jahren begann an dieser Stelle ein Tumor zu wachsen. Er besuchte einige Ärzte und führte kleinere Behandlungen durch. Für eine Operation fehlte das Geld.

Aufgrund des wachsenden Tumors konnte tío Pepe nicht arbeiten und lebt jetzt bei meinem Cousin Harri in Lima, der Hauptstadt Perus. Sie warteten auf einen Termin im öffentlichen Krankenhaus im Mai 2020, leider wurde der Termin aufgrund von Covid auf unbestimmte Zeit verschoben.

Am 9 September 2020 behandelte Pepe eine kleine Wunde am Tumor, als dieser mit Eiter und Blut ausbrach. Er wurde umgehend in die Notaufnahme gebracht. Im ersten Krankenhaus wurde er sofort abgelehnt und im zweiten Krankenhaus wurde ihm nach einem kurzen Gespraech  (trotz konstantem Blutverlust) die Behandlung verweigert.
Heute, am 25. September, platzte der Tumor erneut, mein Onkel Pepe hat große Schmerzen und sie brachten ihn zurück ins Krankenhaus. Diesmal wurde er behandelt und das Krankenhaus rät zu einer dringenden Operation.

Leider deckt die Versicherung meines Onkels Pepe jedoch nur die Hälfte der Kosten. Meine Familie muss die andere Hälfte bezahlen, 1800 Dollar. Sie sind bescheidene Menschen und haben wegen der Pandemie derzeit keinen Job.

Wir sind für jede Unterstützung unglaublich dankbar. Jede einzelne Spende macht den Unterschied und ist wertvoll. Und selbst falls du momentan kein Geld spenden kannst, Gebete oder das Teilen dieser Seite bedeuten uns SEHR viel.
