Update: 2/7/25 mushroom’s surgery went well, and she has been recovering at home for the past 2 days. Fundraising goal has been adjusted after medical bill came back a bit lower after her surgery since it went so smoothly!

Today 2/4/25 we discovered my favorite two year old, Mushroom has an abdominal obstruction after she could not keep any food down, causing her to need immediate emergency abdominal surgery. She has a foreign object lodged in her duodenum (a part of her intestine) which does not allow her to digest any food what so ever so the surgery was a complete emergency. Thankfully, I have insurance, which should cover a good portion of the $13k bill. However, there are some uncovered costs- estimating an upwards of 3,000k which I need to pay myself. Since I am a full time student, I can only work a maximum of 4 days a week but am currently waiting for approval of a second job which should help contribute to the remainder of my costs. Anything will help with these costs which may come to more due to the recovery from this intensive surgery.
