Emergency housing/rent help

I have been fighting long and hard to keep my son safe and to have a roof over his head, but this morning we got the 3 days notice to pay or quit and I can no longer keep this to myself, I have never ask for help before but I have no where else to turn and we need your help now.
This is our story: When my son was born his father was overwhelmed and left us and I have been a single mom ever since. I lost my job when I got pregnant and lost my apartment. I ended up renting a room in a community house where my friend Matthieu lived and I worked from home. After many years the house became unavailable and Matthieu suggested we get our own place after living with many roommates for a long time. It was not long after that he deceived me into marrying him and not for the good intensions he said it to be. He is a gambler and lost all of our money, became abusive toward both me and my son. When this happened I decided that a move back to my home country Sweden would be best for us, but before I got the papers together for the move my husband sued me for custody of my son. New California law make it possible for a child to have multiple parents even if the actual parents say no, as both me and his bio father has done. The legal proceedings have been going on for a year and I cannot leave the country till its all settled even though bio father has signed the permission. My husband doesn't have much of a case, he keeps filing the wrong papers and not showing up to court in an attempts to stall our move and make us homeless to try to bully me into letting him have custody rights. I can’t do this as my son has said he wants nothing to do with him and he is scared of him, as am I. Every time Matthieu does this we get a new court date of 30 days or longer. My family back home has helped with all the money they can, but with lawyer fees, court fees, utilities, rent etc we simply can not cover it all. My husband got a restraining order due to the abuse and no longer live here but would not sign the divorce so I cant even get government assistance. Even if I can’t raise the rent money I hope to get some help for us to afford some temporary housing until we can move back home. We have no family here and have no where to stay when we get evicted.
