Philanthropy means "the love of humanity."
For those of you who know Chris and Jim, you know just how much love means to them. They were high school sweethearts who took that gift of love and never let go, eventually finding themselves falling in love years later and forevermore. It has been this love, this beacon of light that has guided them in life side-by-side. And now, more than ever, we need to step up and embrace them in our love and support.
Not even two months ago (April 2019), Christine began suffering from back pain. She went in for what was a routine check-up and ultimately received the unfathomable news that she had a highly aggressive form of Stage 4 cancer that had metastasized to various parts of her body including her spine. Chris began the courageous fight and started treatment in the beginning of this month (May 2019). Unfortunately, her condition worsened and was hospitalized this week. She and Jim have since decided to go home and employ palliative care and seek peace.
This all happened so fast. One never can plan for something like this in life. It is blindsiding. But luckily, The Ward's have an incredible group of friends and family (us!) who can embrace them and enrich their lives at this important time. Let us team up and show our love for these great humans.
If you would like to assist with the financial burden (medical costs, home health care, loss of work, etc.) any donation through Go Fund Me, would be greatly appreciated. All funds raised will go directly to Christine and Jim for their immediate use.
